THE BLUE ROOM TAKES ITS NAME FROM THE SEVERAL LAYERS OF BLUE AND WHITE STENCIL DECORATIONS, DATING BACK TO THE XIX AND EARLY XX CENTURY WHICH WE DISCOVERED DURING THE RENOVATION AND DECIDED TO PRESERVE AS A UNIQUE MEMORY OF THE PASSING OF TIME AND AN INTERESTING, BEAUTIFUL ABSTRACT PATTERN. THE MAIN ARTWORKS IN THE ROOM IS THE INSTALLATION „ECUMES“ BY THE FRENCH ARTIST AMAND IN, ALSO DEALING WITH TIME AND HUMAN WORK. OTHER WORKS INCLUDE A LATE XVIII CENTURY OIL PAINTING OF SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST, TWO LATE BAROQUE RELIGIOUS PAINTINGS, TWO ALUMINIUM HEADS BY CZECH SCULPTOR JAKUB HOREJC (CA 1920), AN ACRYLIC SKETCH BY ITALIAN ARTIST FEDERICO PIETRELLA AND A STREET BARBER´S AD FROM GHANA. THE LARGE MIRROR WITH SCOINCES COMES FROM AN OLD PALACE IN MALÁ STRÁNA , THE SMALL SIDE TABLE AND THE SET OF DRAWERS ARE BIEDERMEYER PIECES. THE MINIMALIST, WHITE BATHROOM INCLUDES A HUGE DOUBLE-POSTER INBUILT BATH TO RELAX IN AND AN OLD, COLOURFUL HAND MADE KILIM FROM MOLDAVIA. THE WONDERFUL VIEW FROM THE WINDOWS IS FACING THE OLD POND.
