IN SEPTEMBER LATE SUMMER FLOWERS LIKE DAHLIAS, COSMOS AND MICHELMAS DAISIES START A RICH BLOOM WHICH GOES ON UNTIL THE FIRST FROST: THEIR WARM COLOURS MIX IN THE KITCHEN GARDEN WITH THE RUBIES AND ORANGES OF SWISS CHARDS AND PUMPKINS. LEAVES START CHANGING COLOUR AND FALLING, IN A SLOW PROGRESS WHICH LAST THROUGH ALL OF OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER, WHILE THE LAST ROSES AND DELPHINIUMS ARE STILL IN BLOOM.
